About Us
I would like to tell you a little about myself and why I decided to add aesthetics to my Internal Medicine practice.
For a long time I have practiced “wellness” medicine. As an Internist, I feel it is not only my job to treat illness, but more importantly to prevent it. In order to fulfill this tenet I have pursued further training in nutrition, herbal and vitamin supplementation, bioidentical hormones, and intravenous vitamin therapy. When I saw first-hand how this made my patients feel both physically and emotionally, I knew I had gone down the right path. As I got older (and so did my friends and patients), I witnessed others having different aesthetic procedures done - from skin rejuvenation, to botox, to plastic surgery. I saw how people perceived the marked improvement in their appearance - resulting in confidence and contentment. Of course I viewed this as a natural complement to the wellness medicine I was already practicing. If I could make people healthier on the inside, shouldn’t their outward appearance reflect that?
My style and technique is to improve your appearance in the most natural way. Nobody wants to look plastic, or have lips like Goldie Hawn in “The First Wives Club”. I don’t want you to go to work or see your friends and have them say, “Did you get botox?” I want them to say, “Wow – you look great! Did you get a haircut? Go on vacation?”
Being the “health nut” that I am, safety is tantamount to me. I have fully researched and investigated all of the procedures I perform. None are harmful when performed by a skilled physician. In fact, the light source emitted by the IPL is even beneficial to the skin!
I look forward to speaking with you further, and welcome any questions you may have during your consultation.
Best wishes,
Dr. Erika Krauss
